Hollaender, Ludwig (1877-1936) Berlin Attorney In 1896, he became chairman of the association of Liberal Jewish students, closely associated with the Central Association (CV), and from 1900 on was active in the Association itself. Hollaender chaired the CV and, as its major ideologue in the 1920s and early 1930s, integrated support of German patriotism with Jewish pride and struggle against anti-Semitism and the ascendant Nazi movement. He retired from active life in the middle of 1933.
